Array ( [sid] => 40251 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Suicidal Tendencies [time] => 2004-03-25 17:07:14 [hometext] => This was written at a VERY bad time in my childhood... This was me at my lowest... I look back and I still want to cry, I felt so hopeless. Please comment. [bodytext] => Writing this story in crimson ink
from my wrist drops
sour, sweet on my tongue
and the blood smears and slowly
glides onto the tiles beneath.

In this small oval prison
the water creeps
higher and higher until
I am chin deep, and
the red soaked water
begins to fill my lungs.

In the other room the telephone rings
and I am startled
for no one had ever cared
to call upon me until
I am so deeply covered
in my own pity that I
am now beginning to feel
like I’ve sinned.

I try to move but
I am held down by
the pressure of the
water and my own actions
that bricks begin to
pile atop my naked body
and I am sinking further
down into the murky, burgundy waters of my doom.

Alas a voice I hear
quite muffled through the wet surrounding my head
but still reassuring and graceful
for with the voice came a
great sigh of relief for
the emptiness has been filled
the evil hand of humanity, fate and
judgment have been lifted
and I suck in one last mouthful
of blood soaked water and wait to feel it
fill my lungs and all-
sound, smell, sight, taste and touch
disappear.

Sounds like you had a pretty rough time there. Very powerful and quite sad. Glad it's over for you now.
