Cigarette smoking in my hand,
I've been up all night.
Nirvana is playing on my radio.
I'm still looking for God-knows-what,
For all I know I've already found it.
I feel like there's a face
Inside me,
A second personality.
Which one will dominate my day?
The birds outside are chirping,
Spring is almost here,
But the birds are getting pretty annoying.
I'll miss them if I ever
Move into the city.
I feel a bit psychotic.
I've decided what to do
About the girl,
The one I love but who hates me,
To be refered to hereafter as 'her'
Or 'the girl.'
She'll see what she's given up,
I'll go on loving her.
Now I have a headache.
I need sleep.
Everything is going dark.
I let it,
Let the darkness overcome me.
Before I go I say a short prayer
For one of my friends.
I've put out the cigarette,
I shouldn't be smoking.
Everything's almost completely dark now,
What I can see is blood red,
It looks like my blood.
I'm burning, it seems.
There's no fire,
But I feel like I'm
