[bodytext] => Today I wish it was tommorow, For the only highlight of today, Is a pain of guilt and sorrow, That tommorow seems far away. With a swift swipe of the sharpened knife, Or the drop of a guillotine blade, Each second ending, ends a life, And lengthens more, this dreaded day. Quickly, does the time do pass, And passing are long hours, Falling are these hourglass sands, Slowly killing with its deadly shower. Each single grain holds a weary load, Like weight upon the shoulders, Each second hold such dreary woe, Each night grows a little colder. Yet, this day insists on being so, On and on does the clock tick slow, And tommorow lays further down the road. I wait and wait for today to close, Wishful, hopeful, I do pray, But so caught up in this prose, I forgot to take advantage of today.
