Array ( [sid] => 38648 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => JUST THE TWO OF US [time] => 2004-03-14 21:33:08 [hometext] => still coping with a miscarriage I had several weeks ago. Seems writing helps when nothing else does. Thanks for reading. [bodytext] => It’s just the two of us
And often times it is so sad
To hear no laughing of a child
Only echoes of the children we haven’t had

While I rejoice in the love we found
And thank GOD daily for the gift of you
Something is missing, there aren’t any children around
But when you face unexplained infertility, exactly what can you do?

And often times I wonder why
You give me this desire so deep
You placed a baby within my womb
But the child we couldn’t keep

I know I shouldn’t question
Your wisdom far exceeds my feebleness
But I have a confession
It devastates me Lord, to remain childless!

this is so sad but written well. I do know the feeling but keep trying as I lost my first one then twins later in life but I now have three grown children and seven grankids.
A women Dr. once told me it's jus natures way of taking care of things as the baby may have deformed or something. Those words helped me more than anything.
luv, huggs, hope,
emy

I know its probably no comfort, but I lost a baby at 8 days...looking back, I'd rather it would have been a miscarriage because there would have been less bonding...I am sorry for your loss. Don't give up. Your poem is correct in that sometimes we don't understand His ways...but they are always right...maybe something was wrong that you couldn't have coped with...try and gather strength...great write.

May you find some peace some day.... I haven't....

I'm soooo sorry ... I can't imagine the pain you must feel ... yet this poem is wonderfully written and I hope gives you a small amount of comfort from writing it. God bless, Jan
