I dance for you on the arm of the chair
leaning backwards and falling for you
crossing my legs so you wouldn't stare
there is nothing and everything true

I watched and you watched and we waited
for something to click in the long silent spaces
you asked and I answered simply stated
we took our time each one in our places

we talked and found so much familiar
to hold each other would be bliss
we both remarked it was peculiar
to savor the sight of and taste the kiss

almost instant rapport and delight
found in your bold tongue and blue eyes
suggesting we take it to new heights
what am I willing to sacrifice

the hint of freedom, just a word
happiness hanging in the balance
or am I simply being absurd
playing with love’s fire per chance

I really enjoyed this.
Nicely written scene, with a calculated rhyme.
Good work.
