A needed ability that I lack,
Sometimes I think that I will die
If someone doesn't scratch this guy.

Somehow, our bodies, incomplete,
With our arms and with our feet,
Were given us for other action,
ignoring us, our itch distraction.

We can squirm and we can rub,
And back into a wall with nub,
It matters not how hard we try,
It's grit our teeth and give a sigh.

Let us vote in evolution,
A third arm with revolution,
To fit in back and reach from there,
To handle items that itch in rear.

It's true a jacket might be bumpy,
Albeit snug and somewhat lumpy,
But like as not you'll get the spot,
Peace hereafter's what you got. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 158 [topic] => 7 [informant] => norm [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => HumorPoetry )

Funny...I cand get any spot on my back. Long arms, I guess? Humorous indeed, and an idea to consider; havinga third arm for the sole sake of scratching would be extremely useful.

Comically done.

Laughingggggggggggg! I am imagining a third arm in the center of my back or something. You have the most original ideas. Loved this one. Kie

Hey Norm, ole friend, this one was a real twitch...for the itch.
I have the same darn problem, always where I can't reach. I'd vote for another arm....but sure as I do....then that arm I'd have to teach...to do more than scratch..probably latch, or patch.......and I hate to mend!
I finally got me one of those brushes...I think they are for washing the toilet bowl, but are wonderful for backs.......reach everywhere, and then you can relax
What a splendid idea you have.....you're a genius when it comes to scratching.......out wonderful poems that is!
