many thoughts race through my mind.
I worry of the life I have led,
and the woeful waste of my time.

Many hurtful things I have done,
wrong in purpose, and effect too.
Leaving my race poorly run,
with an awful sin payment due.

I must make a change in my life,
must turn,reform, and repent.
I'll do goodly deeds and the like,
live life from now on as was meant

But, now I must get on to sleep,
get my rest to prepare for tomorrow.
When these promises I'll surely keep,
putting an end to all of this sorrow.

It's time to get up now, I see,
To face another a busy day ahead.
Last night - what was troubling me,
when I lay down in my bed?

Oh' well, the bright sun is shining,
and time waits for no man, I'm sure.
Today, with my boss I'll be dining,
more money, my problems can cure.

The busy routine of the day,
captures the whole of my mind.
The things I do and I say,
are not always truthful or kind.

Evening, I'm out with my friends,
there's lying, scheming and booze.
You never know what may portend,
we are all so carefree and loose.

Home late, and it's time to lie down,
my thoughts turn to melancholy.
This day,no change have I found,
regret begins haunting poor me.

Tomorrow, I'll change all my ways,
turn over a new leaf and then,
be happy the rest of my days,
released from this burden of sin.

It's time to get up now, I see,
to face another busy day ahead,
Last night, what was troubling me,
when I lay down in my bed?

Oh' well, the bright sun is shining......

How VERY true. On our own, we are always bound to fail. Thankful for the saving grace of Christ through the love of the Father. Amen.

Tomorrow, ah yes, always tomorrow. But tomorrow never comes does it? It is a wonderous thing that Christ died to see our sins were forgiven before we even commit them if we are truly sorry. Somehow repetitive sin doesn't seem very like one is sorry, does it? This is a very insightful write, Lionel. Might wake a few of us up!
