unlike you im not afraid of spiders
nor any windy thunderstorms,
and well, if i step in puppy pee,
i don't freak, it just feels warm,
when pipes burst on icy winter day's
i carry water there's no other way,
on my clothes at times there's dogfur
yes we like sharing the bed, its nicer,
but it really wasn't very nice
those things about me that you said,
i've never claimed to be martha stuart
and betty f'n crocker im not,
yeah, and when i do make a dinner
you better get it while its hot,
my homes sometimes full of cobwebs
its called sweet country charm,
but as for when i change sheets on the beds
i have no set alarm,
kibble under your feet you were intolerant of
see here; my dogs i love,
no things here are not all peachy perfect
but love lives inside this house,
oh, and babe i forgot to tell you
in the cupboard dwells a mouse,
madness, laughter and fun live here
what in your home do you hear?
~*~
all you think about is your money
not me loving you, i was part of you honey,
saying my poetry wouldn't pay the bills
made me want to tell you to go to hell,
you've no idea how your words have hurt me,
making me feel sadly blue, then you desert me,
i do not waste half a day away,
deciding on yogurt or what i'm doing next may,
i smoke in my home, i have nothing to hide
and can do what i want with a contented sigh,
i've no time to ring my hands in worry
honestly, i believe your thinkings blurry,
you hated 'bloody bickys' underneath your feet
complained i wasn't neat,
said you wouldn't have all these pets
a bed of their own they'd never get,
you'd put one to sleep forever
before trying to understand their mind,
to say this to me was not very clever
it went all over me as unkind,
your right, life here can be tough
but baby your not man enough,
country life is not always anticeptic clean
there's more to behold here than simply a sheen,
a sunrise, a sunset, a clear free flowing stream
add stars in night skies, im living my dreams,
you say you still love me, but cannot live as i do
so i'm breaking some earthshattering news to you too,
although i love you, i want someone who's true,
so now neither would i ever live there with you,
~*~
a coyote was ten feet from the house,
right in the yard these last few nights,
i love this mountain life; it is a delight
thankfully unlike you, i'm not so uptight,
no, we do not have fancy sydney clubs
but we do have pretty morning doves,
instead of being honest, you led me to believe
for me sweet love you'd ever give,
then hemmed and halted to dump me
from your world across the sea,
if you loved me as i do you,
do you believe it would be the same?
you do not yet know what you've missed,
by throwing me away,
oh, wait i even had to finally say that
'cause your feet were made of clay,
newsflash; love is a blanket for nights of cold
some cuddling beneath with your sweetie when you're old,
i was willing to give my whole world,
everything, just to be with you,
but your love had too many conditions
not a pure love genuine and true,
i was not good enough for you
now i have a thing or two to say to you,
and excuse me as i state my mind
because you hurt me to my core,
now i'm not talking here about dog toys
when i say my balls are bigger than yours,
your bigoted of my world under your feet
that lonely life you want you can keep,
~*~
pampered and spoiled you thought to make me
life in that rat race city maybe,
why did you lie to me of such visions
then tear my world apart with precision,
yet here i was to wait on you
you could have found your own towel too,
they are piled right on the hallway shelves
sorry i hadn't the time to hire you elves,
my puter to you is prehistoric, my car a yank tank
but it was good for messaging, before my heart sank,
i suspect what lives in my summer cupboards
would give you horrors and not be to your accord,
you said i am not normal, as are you
with all these things that i believe and do,
normal's one thing i've never been accused of
but tell me i'm beneath you what a labor of love,
to you my lifestyles not up to par
how presumpuous and arrogant you are,
after all your grandiose ideas and plans
i sit and wonder now who is this man,
who stole my heart then tossed it aside
and measures as folly that for which i have pride,
then you aquired reservations about me
that meant you were going somewhere,
you're so devoted to your own beliefs
you'd have blown mine over like a leaf,
how cold are your feet, i do not care-
those warmer socks; please do not wear,
i am so grateful now you didn't ask me
for being your wife would have tasked me,
i have a dream to share someday
with a man who really loves me for me,
he'll be a real man who's buff
not some sooky powderpuff.
~*~

p.s. babe: last night we had creamy scalloped potatoes, homemade bread w/ real butter, lotsa fresh veggies, yummy baked chicken, and ate dinner with music by candlelight; desert was peaches, flowers as always on the table, isn't it amazing as my kitchens such a fright, it turned out perfectly just quite right, and you know what's so funny, you just gave it all up honey:O

Wow Southern County Bell, so much pain and agony in this write, don't ever settle for conditioned love, your heart is to beautiful to stay broken, stand up and shout, " I love Myself", soon you'll see you'll feel much better, ( maybe I'll set you up next time ), I have a couple good pups that love unconditionally and lots of critters, take care Sweetie, and remember to shout, always, hugs to you Val

Dear Nessa,
I'm not sorry for you......because if you only knew.....he just saved your life. I was married to one just like his guy...so clean, so particular...he wouldn't even buy a good car until we divorced, then he bought a big white cadillac....because I wanted to take my little Pity dog with me! SICK, SICK,SICK...Oh Nessa, you can be so glad....by that I mean go glad you didn't change for him....because that is what he would have asked you to do, again, and again, and again......and you would have never ever pleased him!
I had a little mouse in my stove in the country...he was cold...I left him there. Spiders are healthy for your home...I can prove it....but that's not you Nessa.....that's just what happens in a person's life. You are the beautiful lady that writes poetry off the wall...that loves a beautiful sunsets and can write it down on paper and make it seem like a treasure. You have so much love in your heart to give Nessa......but save it until a REAL MAN comes along.......You are very healthy also! I'm sorry your heart hurts Nessa....but I'm so glad you saw the writing on the wall before it was too late!
Bravo.....and 3 times more. I loved this poem...good for you, you've done it again...a poem that will really tell him?
Warm Love We have stick together we woman and encourage each other to leave these suckers along...please call me anytime
I love you!!!!!!

Wow... what an ass... since when does neat and tidyness come before love, anyway??? Argh. I have to give you props, though, you have bigger balls than me too, lol... not about the stuff you were talking about (although I do detest spiders), but with letting him go, using your brain over your heart... something I've never been able to do. This'll probably sound funny coming to you from an 18 year old, lol, but I'm proud of you. It must've taken a lot of strength to do that, no matter how fed up you must have been. I'm so sorry things didn't work out how you'd hoped they would. But I'm glad at the same time because you deserve someone so much better. You truly, truly do. You'll find that kindred soul who loves your doggies as much as he loves you! I believe it. Love always,

~ Dee

Men are idiots anyway to throw away one such as you, Mom.

Well, now I'd go on one of my lovely rants about men and about how dense they can be sometimes, but I actually don't hold a grudge against this one... much.

Nessa; honey, if they can't love you for who you truly are, they can't love you period. Things can be replaced, people cannot. I figure if you can't write "I love you" on my furniture it must be a very cold boring household. I am into living, not pretending.

Hugs sweetie,
Rita

Aww Nessa - he sounds like a stinker to me. What's the matter with dog fur? And cobwebs are very chic - what a chump! Real love doesn't come with any conditions, you and I both know that. I think you really told it like it is in this poem and it is great.

Hugs

Dear Nessa, powerful words from a powerful woman ... your strength amazes me ... your talent holds me in awe ... your words speak the truth and there's no holding you back - he would have floundered after five minutes so it's best you discovered his weak side ... as you said "love lives inside this house" and that's all that matters - let him live in pristine conditions in his cold house - yours will always be warm and inviting ... hugs Jan

Looks like we're both on the pull then, lol.
Great poem, Iknew where you were coming from, my house has got kids and animals in it but I'd much rather a fur ball here and there and feel warm and safe than everything in its place and feel cold and insecure.
Love and respect,

Some of us men don't know what we have untill its gone.
relationship is about excepting a person for who they are,
not who we want them to become.

Hi friend,
U got it going on here. I reckon U got him told in a grand way.
U know what they say, Normal is just a setting on the dryer.
At 57 I've spent my lifetime trying to not be what most folks call normal.
U r one unique person and if he had a brain in his head he'd know that u have just described heaven on your mountain.
U have an advatage over him as u live on the mountain and it's obvious he's never seen the mountaintops.
U go girlfriend!
Tell him to stick it where the sun don't shine!
There are men out there would be honered jus to visit your mountaintop and very wholesome lif estyle.
Luv, huggs,
emy

I don't know you, but I can tell from your poem how completely dedicated you are to the things you love. Any man who wouldn't respect that doesn't deserve a type of woman so rare and wonderful. You're also talented, thank you for sharing your poem!

Thankyou for writing such an brilliant poem
