love let me drown within his eyes,
amidst sweet promise for someday's lies,
now love and i are gone separate ways,
i wish i could just fade away,

he loved me forever and ever,
different opinion love couldn't weather,
a vision of happy my mind had held,
love was the place this soul had dwelled,

i'd once left love along the lane,
but he came back around again,
then love called me his ladylove,
we two happy mooshing turtledoves,

loves arms held me through long nights,
softly whispering, 'i know its right',
now love does not show his face,
whereby loves garden's in disgrace,

so now i sit, this heart in pieces,
it loved deeply but now love ceases,
for silently spoken fare thee well byes,
this life no longer of blue skies,

no more love words gracing dreams,
i return to solitudes requiem,
far too proud to beg, cry and plead,
eau de vie is what i need,

loves left my world and set me free,
now there is nothing left of me,
this heart no love to call its own,
it does me no kindness to bemoan,

the beautiful rose of love once worn,
forlornly sits and is but thorns,
bury my soul in the deepest sea,
for i've no more happy poetry.

Nessa, this is very disturbing that you are so unhappy. From the pain it came this beauty, so not all is dead in the garden. In time, beauty will grow again. I wish you love and happiness.

Rainbows to you,
Rita

this is one of the saddest and most heartfelt poems I have ever read. I know how painful it must have been to write these words, so very very sad.
Sometimes love seems like such a fleeting thing and we are so deeply hurt when it is gone.
