I need you to be there
Holding me oh so tight
You know that I can't bear
You watching me across the room
And all you do is stare
I need you to come to me
And say, "We're meant to be."

You're standing in my doorway
You look at me and say,
"I need you now, let's run away."
What's sad was when I woke up
Hearing the sound of my own crying heart

I remember when we use to dance
Now there is no romance
What ever happened to the boy
That always took a chance?
Now your love has turned to dust
Why did you give up on us?

You're standing in my doorway
You walk through and say,
"I need you now more then ever
I want to be with you forever."
What's sad was when I woke up
Only in dreams we're together

I once ran in the rain
Hopefully to escape the pain
Praying that you'll be on the other side
But you never came
I joined the Angels, for I too cried

A beautiful but sad poem, well written.
Great job.
