I still remember

How undeserving I was-
And still am-
Of you.

I still don't know why
You loved me,
Or what you saw
When you looked at me,
But I remember exactly where I stood
When I told you "I love you."

And now I've lost you,
Lost your love.
Though we were never together,
I knew we wouldn't last.
I never haved held anyone, though,
The way I held you.

You broke my heart,
That's not an easy thing to do,
Especially when I keep it
Hidden away from view.
But though you're now gone,

Somehow, I knew it would happen,
That we could not
Be together.
But I wasn't ready,

This shows a lot of feeling and can relate to many broken hearts. My regards to you if this is about you or someone you cared about.
