Dont ask, this is my first attempt at this type of run-on progression type poetry. Hope you all enjoy. Ok I have a headache now. MaJ [bodytext] => ----------_______--------

Lush pink lips and hair of gold
That tucked behind her ears
were pierced
Twice on each side and from them
Hung earrings that dangled and almost
Touched her shoulders
were bare
And I reached over to touch them
And her face looked up at mine
And her lips smiled and so did Her eyes
were blue
with a touch of grey
Which disappeared when she smiled
At me because I was trying to find
Something to say, but I couldn't because
I didn't know how she was feeling
Sad, I think, but I knew it would pass
So I smiled back and touched her hair
Was blowing back, now, because the wind
Picked up the sides of her jacket and she
Shivered so I put my arms around her
Shoulders, and her jeans swished as we walked
Along the street, and the lights from the poles
Rained down and cast shadows beneath us
The cracked pavement clicked and passed along
The way she smiled and said she wanted to change Out of her skirt
was blowing
behind her and Only reached her thighs
were smooth and warm
And I kissed them lightly and she laughed
Aloud as I stood up and picked her up
And carried her across the room
was cold
And the blankets weren't thick enough so We huddled together
out in the field
And watched the stars were barely visible
Because of all the streetlamps
lit the path
For us as we walked quietly in the rain
Was cold and bitter and she looked
Up and cried and I wanted to put
My arms around her shoulders
were bare
And she was cold but I couldn't
Do anything as she turned around and
Walked away.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
