Thought they were ice cool
Burning the bible
After high school,

Thought they were making
Some really great point,
'Bout how pages of religion
Should be used for a joint.

They tore out each page,
Through it upon flame,
And ridiculed all that
Was believed in it’s name.

Can’t say I’m religious,
(Didn’t follow my mother)
But I’m not so stupid as
To burn the beliefs
Of another.

And I hope in time,
Those kids will face,
A punishment of sort
For their awful disgrace.

Perhaps something great,
They believe to be true,
Will be torn apart in front of their
Crying eyes, too.

the Bible is the Word of God. God isn't more angry at them...what makes our sins any worse? Nothing. But God says what will happen to those who choose not to accept Jesus and not to repent of their sins. "Vengence is mine saith the Lord!"

Nice Poem!

Yes I believe in the Word of God as well. I can't say I am a good Christian, but I hate it when ppl take the Lord's name in vain and no one's holy book should be used for toking up. Nice poem!!!

Ermm...I believe this to an extent, but the "what makes our sins any worse" is contraversial, are you saying a shoplifting offence is equal to a childs murder here? But true, I think we will all be judged although because crimes differ, I expect punishments will too, even in hell, maybe, i dunno...
Nice write
