her brain no longer knows her surroundings
this is the beginning of the total shutdown
the stage we all dread for it leads to the end
a stranger am i to my own mother

the cycle cant be altered or stopped in any way
she has developed many different traits none good
night time has become my enemy she doesnt sleep
how can you survive in an atmosphered such as this
a stranger am i to my own mother

her world rotates only aroud her now i dont count
she is not concerned with what i may need to live
i tell her and i only get a blank stare in return
it is this point i realize she is not there anymore
a stranger am i to my own mother

it hurts to know the gentle woman i call momma is gone
i knew she was getting closer and yet im not prepared
now she is depressed somewhere inside she wants to go
she know what is happening and she is slowly giving up

I am sorry for this. It was a very good write. It made me incredibly sad. I truly wish there was a cure for this. May she pass painlessly and quickly when it is her time to pass. May she find heaven better than her last years here.
