Who understands this world
But then again my mind is sure
There’s more to this than what I see

These people I converse with daily
They never mean what they say
They panic over minor things
Such things that wouldn’t go away

Things that wouldn’t matter to you and me
Someone who sees life so differently
Differently like you and I-
I have never felt understood

I hide from all the truth there is
Afraid of the world’s opinions
Those opinions that shouldn’t effect you and I
And yet bring so much doubt to this mind

I dream of a life so vast and detailed
How do I keep competing with that?
Do we all not have more worries or intentions?
That make you and I so different-but to what?

You keep telling me I act so differently
That I take things to heart so seriously
And each time to your reply I say “So what-
Do you want me to change?”

However Id rather not change for you
Id rather spend my life just with one person-
Who has the same mentality and understanding as me
Than ten people who all think alike

Yet whilst I write this poem, in my mind
I wonder- aren’t we all the same in the end?
Just wonderers all with an imagination
Like You and I-
Alone

Nicely written. Poets do see the world differently. I guess they see the possible, what can be, not always what is. We're weird. But hey, somebody's got to do it.
Take care.
