Array ( [sid] => 31327 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => A POET MUST HAVE IMAGINATION [time] => 2004-01-11 00:09:52 [hometext] => We poets are blessed with imaginations, without them, we could not write poetry.........Do you know what they are? [bodytext] => To imagine is to form in the mind an idea
or an image......
Albert Einstein said,
"Imagination is more important than
knowledge!"
This leads us to believe it's a "Must!"
Poetical faculty, fanciful, unreal, mental
creativity, at it's finest!

An imagination is a wonderful gift.
It can be an original invention, or
fanciful inspirational lift!
Warm-hearted, heated, and excitingly hot.
Daring bold, playful, dreaming plot!

"Man on the Moon" or a "Castle in the sky"
A marvelous gift inside our minds....
no limits, if you like, you can even fly!
Whimsical romance, air-drawn dagger...
nightmare!'
Dreamland of sounds, rare rhapsody,
composed with an orchestra's flair!
Cudgel the words, caress the emotions,
excogitate, (to think, to ponder.)
Visualize something out of nothing,
name it, and make it a new wonder!

Exaggerate, make it bigger, smaller,
larger than taller, loudest caller,
longest fall, hardest hit, closest knit!
Easily fit, tighter than even a slit!
Deeper than the sea, or farthest star.
Dull drab, grey, dark, dreary pathway
Space less, without bars, no boundaries,
or Doomsday!

Poets have to be "Dreamers" for "Dreamers"
have intellectual reflections, speculation,
deliberation, retrospection with examination.
To think, to reflect, suggest, to be upper
most in one's mind.
Einstein's "Theory of Relativity,"
Short-lived, wihout his imagination and design.

Is imagination a gift, to only a few?
A gift is a natural talent given, or a
possession, that not many pursue.
Poets couldn't write, for all things
would simply not exist, nonentity, nothingness, negative blank!
Complete annihilation, null and void,
dissolve, leaving no trace...
A mind like an empty tank!

Look all around, where ever you may go...
Marvel at the Greatest
of all Imaginations, we know....
A giant Giraffe, with long neck,
Turtles with their own abode.
Little Mr. Platypus, part duck, with fur,
web-feet slowed!

Yes, we poets must have imagination to create.....
Sexy love scenes, natural settings
for Geese to migrate.
Tragedies, deaths, mournful outcries
for all to hear.
Without imaginations, No Norm, No Wrybod,
or even Shakespeare!

Imagination is a gift,
I wish more folks did own some,
Then they would praise us for our work,
and we would be less lonesome.
