[bodytext] => Your Tenth Finger December 24, 2003 You say you feel like you are not needed And it hurts me to hear that from you It can't be true In their life, someone loves and needs you They could all go on living With only a passing thoought, if you died. Not many would have cried. And it stings, inside me. They live their lives around you And not with you, you say. My heart drops, and I feel your pain today. All the world is spinning Around you and inside you While your grip on life is thinning. And no one even saw it in the beginning. You say, what you want Is to know there is a need And I bleed. I may not be tangible But please, do not recede me. Gone for a day and I frown A week I feel down. Longer than that and I wonder how you are. And still In that week, You are alone and weak And ignoring me Unintentionally. You can list names on your fingers Of who would care if you passed But everytime you count Remember to save the last For me. I would care I would cry And I would be hurt for some time. I would never forget you You would be with my always. You say you feel like you are not needed And it hurts me to hear that from you It can't be true In their life, someone loves and needs you That someone is me. Your a friend so deep embedded In my life, my heart, my memory I can't imagine loving life, loving me If you were to leave. Because I care about you, And I would miss and grieve, Could you please, Save your tenth finger, For me.
