Escaping all the change

Losing my discretion
Remembering your name

No time in life to make a day

So close to the edge
So far from escape

Relating to the long lost touches
You cut me deeper all the time
Losing touch with reality
Never able to make mine

Scarred with attention
Burnt to a subtle crisp
No time in life to make it
Longing for lips

Speak the words
And tell the stories
Forget who you were yesterday

Submit to the feelings
That hold you and they will
Get away from your disaster
You run from me, even still

Permit me to cross here
Don't burn the bridge
Break off both my legs

My heart exposed and sitting on the ledge
And I'm standing so close yet so far from the edge

Losing my discretion
Day by awful day

Falling towards disaster
Burning all the bridges

Breaking all my legs

Standing still always
Sitting atop this awful edge [comments] => 1 [counter] => 230 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Exodus-On-Life [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )
