people are talking and shouting,
I can hear their words,
but I can't fathom what they mean

I'm confused
as to where I belong
and who I can ask for help...
as there is no one

People have expectations of me
but I don't want the same future
and I am lost between
what I really want
and what everyone else wants for me

I'm not happy with myself
and the person I've become
When did I change?
Does anyone else notice?

Can anyone see I am confused
with myself?
I need answers...
help...

Can't anyone see
that inside of me,
is confusion, unrest, and sadness ?

I need help,
with this turmoil...

can you help me?? [comments] => 5 [counter] => 310 [topic] => 48 [informant] => Serendippitty [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

This is a poem I can relate to. Don't do anything or change anything simply because its what someone wants of you. You can't make anyone happy. They have to do that on their own. The only thing accomplished by changing yourself for someone else, is losing yourself. Once lost, it's extremely hard to find yourself again. Good Luck!

My what a thought provoking wonderful poem.
I have a suggestion for you I hope you won't mind. I've lived 66 years and I've learned one thing for sure...go help another person and you'll be surprized....your true self will be viewed in your own eyes!
Works everytime...cause we take the focus that is so confusing from us to someone else..."Those that bring sunshine into the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves!"
Try it you'll like it. Go to an Old Folks home to visit and roam...you'll find yourself in no time...

Wonderful poem
