Sat outside awaiting dawn
Breathing in the fresh morn' air
As the day is slowly born
Listening to natures song
Drifting through the tall gum trees
Dancing warm against your face
On a scented springtime breeze
Well, this morning on the tail of darkness
I sat within sleepy morning eyes
Of nature in her creativeness
As she gave birth to a new sunrise
Stretched out on the verandah
I rested my chin upon my hands
There guided by the early light
I looked across this land
At mountains in the distance
Just beyond the blue of sea
Where the day is but an hour old
And dreams are all for free
Kookaburras came to feed
Contagious laughter echoed deep
As there within the awakening day
I listened to beauty speak
It told of glittering diamonds
Upon the sea of blue
And of mountain tops covered fresh
In early morning dew
Painting images in my mind
As light unfolded even more
Allowing me a greater feeling
Than I had ever felt before
As I laid back with eyes closed
My senses found a place to play
They frolicked in the midst of dreams

Nice write. Beautiful image. I would rather be there than here but uhhh it is snowing here so I'd rather be anywhere else just about. At least anywhere warmer!
