Quaking and running somehow in my veins.
Hiding in the depths of a soul that isn't there,
Smiling in an attitude that no longer cares.
Lying in its own solemn wait,
Walking towards the black night in its own gait,
It will break loose quietly then
As my mind breaks again, and again,
Screams silently pulsate through the dark
As the pain methodically hits its mark.
Tragedy comes, increasing in the shadows
Until the very green of the meadows
Begins to blacken with distaste,
Then my pulse begins to race.
Smiling I fall into the abyss,
Calmly welcoming the terror in my midst.
I can't find a way to begin again,
The pain always finds another way in.
The dawn breaks, shining light in,
And the darkness seals itself in again.
The Grim will wait for another night,
And my smile outwardly belies my plight.
There's no way out for me at sunset,
My heart has locked itself in, but yet,
I hear the screams of others too...
I see it in your eyes, is IT tormenting you??? [comments] => 4 [counter] => 160 [topic] => 13 [informant] => ginsdance [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )
