Even though I was full of misery
I had the world resting in my hand
But I just didn't understand
All that lay before me

The world was a very hateful place
Full of vengeance, low on grace
I thought all were out to destroy me
If not that, just to annoy me
There was no person I wanted to face

I spent my time being sad and low
Hating each day, it seeming so slow
But no one ever used me for their own good
No one ever told me that they would
I thought this is how life would go

But then I changed to someone full of delight
Loving each second of day and night
But before I knew it, I was used
The ones I loved most left me bruised
And fled out of my sight

I sometimes miss who I used to be
Even though I was full of misery
No one ever dared to hurt my heart
No one ever dared to rip me apart
But now, it's all a part of me [comments] => 3 [counter] => 163 [topic] => 48 [informant] => Schnikes13 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

I think this was a wonderful write and true to many but not all. Any who used to be cold and dark with loads of pain inside.
