September 2002 [bodytext] => I wake at five in the morning knowing I need to pray
My heart is heavy as before the Lord I lay

For what and who I pray, I have no clue,
As the planes left the ground covered in dew

I watched the story unfold in the box
The plane crept across the sky like a sly fox

My heart sinks as I watch the towers fall
They that once stood so proud and tall

I stand at my flag pole and pray
The day has turned hazy and grey

My heart cries out with every hour past
The flag is at half mast

I kneel at my flag pole and I pray
Lord, take away this evil day

We have no where else to turn
It is for your comfort that we yearn

The human spirit has not been crushed
We bond together in crowds, solemn and hushed

We give from the heart
Though we are so very far apart

Today is the day
We need to turn to you and pray

Lord take away our sin
Clean us from deep within

Take us back Oh Lord, we have fallen away
Let us see You on this day.
