We never bothered to listen to a single word they’d say
And it was just me and you
Doing only things we wanted to do
And no one told us what was wrong

I remember, back in the day
When we walked and followed our own paved way
And it was just us two
Acting like all that mattered was what we knew
And no one told us where to belong

Well, those memories are blurred
So I try to bring them back
But I know I’ll never be cured
And receive all that I slack
Cause I could never do it without you
So what makes you think I could do it now?
Wow, our time flew
And I’m not sure exactly how

I remember, back in the day
When we’d state “Come What May”
And it was only you and I
Never wanting for those incidents to die
And no one told us that they would

I remember, back in the day
Where, for our actions, we never had to pay
And it was just you and me
Wishing to become all the things we wanted to be
And no one told us “Not For Your Own Good”

Well, those memories are blurred
So I try to bring them back
But I know I’ll never be cured
And receive all that I slack
Cause I could never do it without you
So what makes you think I could do it now?
Wow, our time flew
And I’m not sure exactly how

Don’t these memories mean a thing to you?
Or is it only to me they seem;
To tell of all the things we wanted and needed
And even every single dream

Please don’t leave me now
Just don’t leave me now
You can’t leave me now
Please don’t leave me now
Just don’t leave me now
Would you leave me now?

Well, those memories are blurred
So I try to bring them back
But I know I’ll never be cured
And receive all that I slack
Cause I could never do it without you
So what makes you think I could do it now?
Wow, our time flew
And I’m not sure exactly how

I’ll be remembering you,
But will you remember me?
Will I ever be known,
As the person you wanted to be? [comments] => 3 [counter] => 183 [topic] => 52 [informant] => Schnikes13 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => goodbyepoetry )
