Array ( [sid] => 25516 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => dance on my foot [time] => 2003-10-21 22:44:59 [hometext] => sometimes life is like a dance..... [bodytext] => tear away the misty veil
what do you hide there
in the darkness
that is your soul
remorse flickering
like a sputtering candle
not enough to ignite a fire
love grown cold and desolate
no place to rest my head
in this lonely land of the dead
who pretend at living
so full of self promotion
and false lighting tricks
that keep up the momentum
we move forward in a dance
without knowing the steps
until we stumble
and the music falters
with strains of embarrassment
while we endure the onlookers
amused by our fumbling
loss of dignity and self confidence
you offer me your hand
as if it really mattered
and i accept it as if i really could
the dancers move on
the music plays until the very end

I found this to be quite sad...maybe just the way I am relating to it at this point in my life...I dunno. You write in a manner that gets into my head and wont leave.

Very well done my friend

Larry

This is surreal and has a beautiful form of visually vibrant spoken words.
Nicely done!
