[bodytext] => We shot the breeze a little while, Until the sky began to bleed, Shot at life and this and that, Shot at love and relationship, Intoxicants and other realms, Of thought, existence, dazed trance. We shot into the breeze the endless, Struggles of our lives, as well as, Hopes and dreams and aspirations, That may yet soon come to pass, Shot at fools upon their hills, Cups of rainbow pills, And dirty crinkled bills. We shot at education, misinformation, Oppressive militant organizations, Distances between perception, And the truth we boldly seek. We shot at broken hearts, And hypnotized religious groups, Forming into street-side troupes, Proclaiming “God is truth” and, “Abortion kills”. Go back to your caves of darkness, You’ve found your “God”, Now let me find mine too! We shot the breeze a little while, Until the sky began to bleed.
