The morning started out like most days do,
Alarm clock, breakfast, kids off to school.

Finally taking a minute to enjoy my cup of tea,
That’s when I felt something strange come over me.

As if I was being warned of something to come,
My first instinct was to get up and run.

But why and to where?
I had no Idea what to fear.

I went to the window and looked all around,
Everything was quiet, not even a sound.

Yet this chill remained in tact,
Urging me to be ready to react.

This uneasy feeling remained through the day,
As it haunted me in the worst kind of way.

Then finally it hit me to go to God in prayer,
Share with him my burdens, and leave them there.

Then I felt such a peace come over me,
Why did it take me so long to see?

That the Lord will protect us if we put our trust in him,
Then the battle over fear, we can win.
