[hometext] => Another poem about life's lessons.
[bodytext] => Youth is a gift that we use up too fast,
never giving a thought to how long it would last. I raised my children, without a minute to spear, while longing for a time, I wouldn’t have a care. I was on my feet, from morning to night, dragging to bed, to start again at first light. I wished for the day, that my children were grown, when husband and I, would be again on our own. But now I look back, with a tear in my eye, to those days, that so quickly had passed me by. Our children have gone, 1, 2, and 3, and my love has past on, now it’s only me. But now, what I’d give for my life of the past, and pray every day for each moment to last. I’d treasure the minutes of each busy day, and never again would I wish them away.
