For they have been given little time for it to show.
No one stops to hear the words they do have,
To me it sometimes seems a little sad.
They seem to be a forgotten species,
To pass them by is Oh, so easy.
They have lived so long, the have done their time,
To lock them away is a crime.
To never hear the words they have to say,
If you would only give them the time of day.
Never to hear the wisdom of their years,
The pains they have suffered-silent are their tears.
So may of them have been left behind,
They need tenderness - so please be kind.
Open your heart - give them a listen,
You never know what you might be missin’.
So go ahead and take a peak,
The elderly are of which I speak.

I am old, I'll have my say,
every oldster need not belay,
I'm not so quiet, truth be known
There's plenty seeds that I have sown.

Do not think because we're old,
We've forgotten how to hold
a grand critique, a point that's sleek
Here're my cards, go take a peek...
