Array ( [sid] => 21741 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => This Heart of Mine [time] => 2003-08-11 08:35:00 [hometext] => This poem is dedicated to my girlfriend. I love her, and I always will. I praise God for putting her in my life. [bodytext] => I see the moonlight on the water
I feel my love, my arms around her
I know I love her deep inside
I know that a great love survives

I see the starlight shining bright
But brighter still, I see her eyes
I know not when this time will end
My heart, I know, won’t be alone again

I feel the warmth of her embrace
I look upon her lovely face
I know not when we both shall part
I only know she’s in my heart

And so I held my love once more
I held her tight, would not let go
I kissed her cheek, her cheek so fair
I ran my fingers through her hair

And then I woke from my slumber
From my dream, but still, I wonder…
If we apart are destined to be
Has love made a world for her and for me?

And so my heart, for her, bitter cries
And something, slowly, within me dies
But from such sorrow, new hope I find
Within these dreams, from this heart of mine [comments] => 4 [counter] => 230 [topic] => 24 [informant] => wachumiri [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 13 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LoveRemembered )

:P Nice comment from Andrew, there :P Helpful, isn't he?

I like the last stanza the most in this, all of it is pretty good, but this held it for me, it seems the most natural part of the whole poem. Some of your rhymes seem a little forced Still, nice write.

*hugs*
