Array ( [sid] => 20323 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => no title [time] => 2003-07-12 22:35:00 [hometext] => as i gear up to destroy myself (hopefully), i write one more scrawl for my beloved goddess, stephanie. [bodytext] => too far gone
too late found
these years, a waste
chasing what cannot be caught

i found the perfect place to hide
but you, you *****, were already inside

i've watched you change
and i can't stop you
and i can't stop myself
from changing too
can't figure out
whate the ***** happened to you

two, then one, now two again
it wasn't supposed to happen to us
our paths are parting
and it's hard to say goodbye

the path before you is long and fulfilling
but dangerous
but, i know you are strong
i still believe in you

my path is short
a Dead End
drenched in blood
i can already hear their screams

i've become so bitter
and so have you
i guess it's all that could be expected

this is all that's left you see
the end of us, the end of me
the gateway to your destiny
i self-destruct and you are set free

now that you are free to fly
i hope you soar beyond the stars
and i hope i get a glimpse of you
before i fall too far
and i hope, before i hit the ground,
you smile, one last time, at me
so that my heart will be at peace
when i reach my destiny
when i set my blood free [comments] => 4 [counter] => 208 [topic] => 52 [informant] => Cancer [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => goodbyepoetry )

powerful, emotive and deeply tragic. there's always such raw emotion in your poetry.

i love the lines, "and i hope i get a glimpse of you / before i fall too far" - a beautiful sentiment. think hard on this matter my friend. Kate x
