Array ( [sid] => 19674 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => After the Romance Died [time] => 2003-06-28 09:35:00 [hometext] => A poem about what love can turn into when your partner mistreats you. [bodytext] => All of my pasion transposed into unforgiving hate.
A withdrawl into internal pastels.
I write these words in the ashes of all you left in me.
A burning desire
Which you infected with a dose of asphyxia.
I took down your numbers like asprin
While you performed a self composed parody
Of how I live my life, devoted to you.
I used to.
I'm struggling day and night
To mend my perforated state.
Like pulling teeth,
You ripped out my heart
- absorbed my life -
set it back so i could live my days in empty regret.
Be there no requiem at my awaited funeral, for I'm already dead and passed,
though I no longer belong to you.

I wanted you to feel remorse
Till the sun no longer lit our days,
So I robbed you while you slept.
Regaining all I lost, yet losing all I gained -
For I was nothing to you.

To say this was good would be an understatment... this is absolutely brilliant, but I hope you aren't writing from personal experience. Great imagery, great structure, great everything... wow
