Hold yourself close, be silent and wait.
Tomorrow will come and it won’t be too late;

To gather the pieces and carve out a space;
Where its quiet and safe til the past is erased.

When a castles a prison, its better by far;
To leave what you have to be what you are.

"This too shall pass" has often gotten me to tomorrow. Even though today our souls are filled with sorrow, never forget the beauty of tomorrow.

Beautiful!

this gives me thought
about everything under the sun
that never lasts.
and when your young
someone loved you
if you were lucky and if
your lucky you
never forget.
which I hope,
is the plan,
to hold onto,
like the knot
at the end of the rope.
And then you fly off
mercilessly at
the a speed faster
than the speed of
light and lose
that body you once
held, since the
gravitational force
at such a speed
would only be a dead
weight, and quite
useless to boot,
no need to worry
about capturing
ultraviolet B waves
to booster your
vitamin D any longer,
as they say.

"put a knot in the end of
your rope"
and smile like
a zenith which
you have now
become.

Peace!

I might add, I was with my dad the night before
he went into surgery for a second heart bypass
that ended up botched.
While he was still with us unconscious as he was,
I staid with him for a long while, and just before
they pronounced him gone I did see him smile
while I held his hand. At least I took it that way.
The surgeon came up to me and put his hand on
my shoulder. Real empathy, and it happened
so quickly. Why just the week before I went
with him to buy an Xmas present, and he,
always the athlete, jogged up some stairs
to show me that he still could.
My mom on the other hand, the one who
raised everything within me to a higher
level I got to late, we all, the entire family
came to her bed. Man oh man she was
a beautiful person, an intellect, a nurse,
well versed in Latin, born in 1923,
a red haired beauty, amare,
to be missed by all who knew of her,
raised on a farm during the great depression
she taught me of St. Anthony/'/s prayer,
she who was reading books all the time,
some books I read myself at an early age,
because they sat upon her nightstand
and I loved her so.

Peace!

There have been plenty of times that Ive wanted to pack up and leave but realized that life whether good or bad has a tendency to follow you no matter where you go. Hence the reason why I haven/'/t been around for a while...Life has caught up to me.
Thank you for this piece. Another brilliant write :)
