[hometext] => The curative powers of love bash memories to dust
[bodytext] => What stole my soul, made off with my heart?
What savage beast without teeth ripped my core clean apart?
I’ve traveled a lifetime, miles like air,
absorbing imprinting all that I see in hopes of repair.
This mirage I follow, though lie known to me,
unveiled is sweeter than all realities be.
Just when I reach, oh the point where I’m sure,
like memory’s vapor I cling to my last molecule pure.
When the voices stop ringing, lay down for the night,
echoes on echoes still singing, pain abandoned still stinging,
yet whenever I hold her fades away in her loves precious light.

there is nothing that revolves
And calls back at you
like an echo
unless you are in such a place
such as a cave
And then if you remember
what you once said
you can go back to that said cave
and repeat what you once said
but it will even then in the end sound different
to you
Peace!

I stole that one from the musical "Guys and dolls"
There/'/s nothing like a "Cave"
But you know, stretching word, and their meaning
and the entire reason for writing them down,
is something you and I do Mike.
just because we must.
Peace! |

A love story of healing and renewal. My favorite line is ECHOS ON ECHOES STILL SINGING, PAIN ABANDONED STILL STINGING..
You have said so much in those lines and it brings back memories so vivid.
When your words paint for your readers, you have created what every writer dreams of! The poet and the readers are as one. Splendid good luck for us!
