To say what you mean is sublime!
But that takes some doing; And so the ensuing;
May help us with more than our rhymes!

Is it MARY AND ME or MARY AND I; Who go the store today?
You wouldn’t say ME GO, And that is how we know;
Its MARY AND I on our way!

Did Harry come with JOHN AND ME;
Or come with JOHN AND I?
He came with me; Its clear to see;
Harry could not come with I!

My, arent you clever; To know you would never; Say LIKE when you really mean AS.
Like Winston tastes good LIKE a cigarette should; Like man, that was one screwed up ad!

UH HUH isnt YES. Its mumbling at best.
We use slang when we cant find a word; So its SICK or its COOL;
But nobodys fooled; Were a nation of voices less heard.

Those who would lead us; Use language to read us;
Their highly paid speechwriters sway;
In one silent chorus; well let them speak for us;
To hear what our heart longs to say. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 108 [topic] => 54 [informant] => softerware [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => happypoetry )

How very true.
With the internet connecting the entire world
as a whole and you are correct when you
in the title that we are judged by how we speak
and spell. It is easier for me to put things on
paper so much of the time than it is for me
to convey my thoughts through speech.
I know that I consider all of your poems to
be brilliant but you/'/ve done it yet again.

Rich
