Came to find her post at last.
It laid in wait; I heard it laugh;
Launched into the window’s draft!

Settled itself on the mistresse’s chair;
That evening she found it lying there.
Pulled her glasses from her purse;
Unmindful of its deadly curse;
The mistress penned a final verse.

She gently tucked it in her glove;
And gifted it to her dear beloved.
They found him by the garden tree;
The willow that hangs over me;

He clutched the letter in his hand;
And now he sleeps with us the damned.
The letter hadn’t wished him dead;
As the stories say you see;
In my own hand it simply said;
“You’ll not take her away from me.”

the age in the ageless
away from the aspiring
closed off heart beating
still no more dry
remorseless
tone
while the ice turns to water dripping down
forming icicle
with help of sunlight until the
night doth come

I wrote this because it steals away
your heart to read what you wrote
beauty mixed with regret mixed
with love of a strengthening kind

in a letter concealed within a glove

New style / I think it works

Peace!

rich and awesome!

The gifted gifting, as we are lifted
by those whom words are toys for twisting.
