[hometext] => I was inspired last night so its rough and unfinished but... I am the mountain
[bodytext] => I Am The Mountain "I am the mountain" echoes down the shimmering valley "I am wise beyond my years!" and it is true (or was) Smiling down upon the trees and flowers it gives life No... it breaths life into lost and lonely souls the forest and meadows even the whimsical flowers shall know its love cast down within its waters as it too chuckles over boulders knowing the deeds it does. Great and daring Yes... it can be. Though mistaken for its strength its fortitude to withstand the blow tides of evil and disdain. For in wisdom it understands it has its own peace its heart has love for even the simple playful grasses and sinister thorns. For with time comes wisdom till dusk settles in then with time comes only age. And so it is ever in the element under attack so constant. It wears... as life does. The winds are jealous of its stead while the rains could care less inflicting its harm as thoughtless as yawning in the dusk. No... the mountain can not be a mountain forever Not all are with its kindness and love they inflict their insipid bruises day in and day out as the talus grows about its feet. But... at its deepest depths beats its heart it is but the dearest treasure held in sad regard but it is still the mountain though torn and beaten to a mound where pebbles smile back mocking "Follow us... Follow us!" Though it weeps alone Its heart is still there last to be torn and wretched about. Though it weeps It is love still full, caring, and un-torn. This heart can not be crushed can not be taken from deep within this vault It shall exist unto the last It shall hold love... unto the last. "I am the mountain!" Yes... it still echoes out into the void "I am the mountain... no more." Soon I shall be but a pebble Eventually ground to dust and there shall lay my heart at last ... into the dust. --wheels-- [comments] => 2 [counter] => 155 [topic] => 48 [informant] => wheels [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )
