So much pain
God, why did you take him away
I am so angry inside
I can’t find it within me to even pray

Feeling so broken
have no idea at the moment what to do
We needed him here more
but you took him home to be with you

I have no idea
what is your plan
I only know that today you took from us
a father, grandfather, and a wonderful man

God, we love him so much
missing him, the tears tell we do
I am so confused
about my love for you

I try to find understanding
though it is so very hard to do
Please give me a sign
my father is now there with you

I don’t want to hate you
as I know he was in so much pain
I only wish you would have healed him
and gave us sunshine instead of so much rain

Dear father
there is something you have to know
I know I told you many, many times
but I truly love you so

Now that you have ascended to the heavens
your pain is forever gone away
There will never be a day that I forget you
your memories are with me forever from this day
