Is calling from afar
Announcing it's on its way
As it arrives
Weaves its way
Through the forest and fields
Whispering earths secrets
To the ears of corn
Feared by all
For the news it may bring
It's the very same wind
That came many times before
The very same wind
That whispered the sins
To the serpent and apple
Within
The Garden of Eden

Keep that damn thing away from me!!!

As noted, this is eerie! Nicely done and great way to keep your readers wanting more.

First I just want to say I found the rhythm and wording is a bjt elusive, and second, I'm not sure what this wind is, but it sounds intriguing, yet troubling. Whether it's the force of energy that brings ideas good and bad(or even just bad), whether it's sin itself, or a specific sin like greed, is not so clear.

But that reminds me of the lore according to my friend about World of Warcraft. Apparently there were these titans and "old gods", I'm not too sure the difference, but to destroy one of either apparently would destroy existence itself, and with the titans being good, and the old gods being crazy, they had to be sealed away in order to prevent the destruction of the universe. Pretty wild stuff.

If you think about it as greed though, it's pretty fitting for this country and the world today. Because of that little "Woah" of me getting caught off-guard, this is good by way of mindstate, but I just gotta say once more that the rhythm was strange, and I couldn't really seem to find it. Maybe with another read though, it'll whisper itself to me. ;)

It is dangerous to get too close to a snake and they tend to hide in tallgrass and fields of corn. This was dramatic.

Chilling to the bone. I see in your message a harbinger of evil floating among us unseen, seeding us with motivations that meet its agenda! Brrr!
Chillbumps!
The haunting feeling you leave us cannot be ignored; because we cannot disprove its existence!
You have sent me scurrying back under the covers of pure denial!
