bring about a cool breeze
as I sit upon a faded worn pier.
The ripples of the water
are in sync with the movement of my feet
as I take in this warm cool breeze.
In just a couple hours the sun will set
just below the tree line
and It’ll look like a fire across the sky.
But if you sit back and breathe
you’ll take in
the most beautiful part nature can bring.
If you close your eyes and listen real close
you can hear the sound of mother nature calling your name
through the sound waves of the wind.
Now close your eyes again and just listen
you can hear the sounds of the animals talking in code
a secret language only they know.
Just one last time close your eyes and listen take it all in
you can hear the way the water moves within each perfect wave
and you can smell that beautiful sweet summer air.
If you take the time to go outside and just breathe
you realized that maybe life
isn’t quite all that bad.
