Embodied feelings
straight from a human soul
We live this life
and yes we pay a toll

Living with happiness and laughter
living with anguish and pain
If you live long enough with tears
you’re bound to have a stain

It could be a sad face
or a frown often worn
It’s usually from sadness
and a heart that has been torn

Happiness is a high
having gratitude in the life we live
It is a time we don’t like taking
we’re much happier when we give

Enlightened by family and friends
the ones we hold so dear
When they see us smile
our true feelings are so clear

Don’t be afraid to smile
sharing the love you have inside
Know that people will love you too
with their arms open wide

Ah, how subtly you ambush our hearts with your gentle words. Sneaking up on our good graces; trusting us be be better than we are; Seeing the best in us no matter how many layers we bury it in!
You are a wise man. When you tell us we are wonderful loving creatures, how hard will we try to prove you wrong?
Your words plant seedlings of joy..and trust me, your garden is flourishing!
