not because I like to watch girls,
but I have to watch this one
because she watches me too
and it would be rude otherwise.

She's watching me now as I write
and I wonder does she know it's
about her and everything she is
and everything she does and even
the little things like her walk?
Her gestures.

I do watch her and her entire body is
a cacophony of movement and endless
rhythm. She is a plague on my senses
and I watch while she watches; both staring
and talking without tongues or spit or anything.

I need to turn away.
She can't.

I get this as something else, but not in this specific context. I think of two people attracted to one another, and both want to initiate a conversation or involvement, but neither wants to be the one to start it. There's actually a word for that.

The word Mamihlapinatapai (sometimes spelled mamihlapinatapei) is derived from the Yaghan language of Tierra del Fuego, listed in The Guinness Book of World Records as the "most succinct word", and is considered (for example by Austrian playwright Clemens Berger) one of the hardest words to translate.[1] It allegedly refers to "a look shared by two people, each wishing that the other will offer something that they both desire but are unwilling to suggest or offer themselves."[2] A slightly different interpretation of the meaning also exists: "It is that look across the table when two people are sharing an unspoken but private moment. When each knows the other understands and is in agreement with what is being expressed. An expressive and meaningful silence."

Nice write. :)

There really is nothing wrong with watching girls as long as you're not being an ***** about it. Everyone watches each other to some point. It's human nature.

Now I'm thinking of that old song:

"I'm a girl watcher
I'm a girl watcher
Watchin' girls go by...
my my my

Okay, back on track here...

I sorta found myself thinking of two people attracted to each other, a crush maybe, but perhaps too afraid of the rejection if they make that move. Or just noticing each other from across the room, across the way and thinking about that move.

Anyway, a very enjoyable read. Didn't really seem abstract at all.

Thank you for an enjoyable read and photo 1036153111_gif.gif back from you three year hiatus.
