As I sit here thinking what I should do,
My wandering thoughts keep returning to you.
Remembering the hours that we spent together,
Building up memories to last us forever.

I think of the joy of just being with you,
The places we go and the things that we do.
The feelings I have hidden deep in my heart.
The way that I miss you when we are apart.

With thoughts of the future and what it might hold.
While building a friendship more precious than gold.
I wonder as I sit here thinking of you,
Do you often sit there and think of me too?

This life is so short and uncertain I know.
There are so many roads down which we must go.
Now when I think back to places I've been,
With all the beauty that my eyes have seen.

Once more I am tempted to reach out my hand,
To touch you and tell you that I understand.
I know that your past has been stormy and rough,
That surely in this life you've suffered enough.

I thank you for letting me be a small part,
Of treasures and memories you store in your heart.
Now if in the future more time we should share,
I want you to know that I really do care.

One of the sentiments best shared in a relationship, that often isn't made aware, or not realized. Well-written explanation. :)

This poet has thrown pearls
On our way to make us take
If we refuse, we just mistake
His poem has angelic curls

He has stunned me by his rhyme
As meaning is in no way affected
My mind, his words have protected
As very useful was the reading time

Words available are just few
I can't express my wonder
A superb poem, he did render
Great encomiums are due.
