The lessons of which Age know not

My son had the know-how to push me from the drunk
bleeding and “Would he get it on me?”
Aids, hep-C or more-
I didn't know being older-
he had to show me.
Age is not the arbiter of wisdom.
A butterfly might heed to a cocoon.

Respect for your father, and understanding, is bigger.

First, love the tittle. Teaches me to question historical context. Nice write.

Best,

I was age whisperer
I used to think
But then I had teenagers of my own
And my heart sank deep

A place where nobody talks
Wisdom isn't about age...
this I always knew

But still I do
wait

Invierno,
You say, "sure... not much here.
but I see a lot there
And it sounds good.

I guess the lessons of age are
only that, our own

Liked this one a lot!

Peace!
