Self serving leaders
Government cover ups
And liars as speakers

Morals altered
Suffering increased
the world is darker
And devils pretend to be priests

Like an elderly man
This nation once had a prime
Yet it's decayed across the years
And sickness taking away time

These events like puzzles
Slowly place the pieces
Corruption has spread
And hope decreases

Tragic disasters are exploited
Manipulated to a parties needs
Twisted into something else
Slowly we unravel at our seams

Liberals and conservatives
Profit from our disaster
Treating us like peasants
With no qualifications to be our masters

It's the people underneath
That is the heart of this nation
They harvest what we grow
And expect us to be gracious

If they are the brain
And we are the heart
What happens to that patient
If we refuse to start.

Well said! (applauds). It's been a long time since the heart was so disillusioned with the brain, on both sides of the Atlantic. It's high time the brain took notice, or, as you write, the heart might just 'refuse to start.'
