When reality seems the exact opposite
She finds amazement in her body's resiliency
She's overweight and she's diabetic
She's always in pain almost everyday if not everyday
Yet she's never asked God "Why me?"
Something I ask God quite often myself
She's tired in every sense of the word
Physically, mentally, emotionally
But I always hear her saying everything is okay...
For every time she talked about what's stressing her out,
Whether to me or God,
She has ended all of those conversations spewing positive blood out of her mouth...
She says her and I are very alike.
That she's the beginning and I'm the end,
She's the Alpha and I'm the Omega.
She's the oldest of my family,
I'm the youngest.
Our relationship has changed for the better over the years,
And dare I say dramatically...
She used to feel like I saw an enemy in her,
I used to feel like she saw a burden in me...
And here we are today,
Having the kind of conversations others would crucify you for,
Because their human mind can't translate our spiritual language.
I wrote her a poem for her birthday called Gift III...
In that poem, I told her that she's a story worth telling.
And God has blessed me with the talent to do so in a elegant way.
This...
Is gonna touch hearts all over the world.
She...
Is gonna touch hearts all over the world. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 402 [topic] => 23 [informant] => Blackheart [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => FamilyPoems )

This is so inspiring. She is strong and you are gifted.
The lock to the key. "and here we are today"..
relationships change as we grow and learn. You both have come to see one another as a resource and a strength. Many will not before it is too late. You are fortunate.
