I should visit more often. Most of my poems are from a different era of my life and do not necessarily reflect me anymore, although they were a part of me. [bodytext] => A symphony of light,
Cascades across the sky.
I am watching time unfold before me.
Sitting on the present
My mind seems to be stuck in neutral.
I don't want to be there,
I am content to be here, I can wait.
All the worries fall away
In the grandness, in my smallness,
Compared to the cosmos I see.
And physics cannot answer my questions.
Mathematics though romantic,
Lacks the passions of life
Where I know the fire still smolders.
There the embers of former lives
Wait to be rekindled,
And a new man born to reign in my place.
It is a fine line to walk
And to speak of it is madness.
Like a ghost I have wandered my conscience
Sleeping until recently, folding my hands.
I bound myself, and let others do the talking.
I have done a disservice to them and me
They and I.
And now the paths have converged,
Allowing for a way out,
And like a thief I will steal away
All the memories kept treasured up.
Pilfering those things I proffered away,
I pawned bits of myself for peace,
It was the pacification of me.

waiting like stars reflecting
old time, new time, dissipating
time roaming
over the same hill as sun hits
as sun goes.
Here, not there, yet neutral.
Proffered away, such a youthful sentiment...
You do remember such a thing well.
Go there, go now, and come back or better yet, always stay.
Thanks, I loved this.

Peace!

Yes. You should post, errr, visit, more often. Some fantastic lines in here that really set the tone. However, I am positively giddy that someone knows how to spell 'conscience'. I suppose the world hasn't gone to hell in a hand basket just yet. But I digress- great job with this poem.

"I pawned bits of myself for peace,
It was the pacification of me."

Brilliant line.
