Array ( [sid] => 178349 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => God Sets A Path.... [time] => 2014-05-18 05:55:39 [hometext] => Out of my own foolish mistakes I've come to realise a few things in life and work very hard to rectify my idiotic ways [bodytext] => 21:03:2014....

I'm most certainly not an idealist.
In fact I'm quite the realist.
One must not ponder on why.
Neither stare aimlessly into the sky.
Life is what you make of it.
Whether you choose to live or just sit.
We influence our destiny.
God sets a path for us to live successfully.
However in our ignorant human wisdom.
We exercise our foolish freedom.
We slavishly follow our own road.
And life's riddles we just can't decode.
Going it on our own.
Well our blockheads must be made of stone.
There is a very good reason why God is the Creator.
Cause our ideas would just leave a crater.
God is the man.
He set out the master plan.
And we would do well.
To study that plan before we end up in hell.

Chuckles....love the crater crack. I tend to agree with some of what you've shared here....this isn't the forum for a theological debate, so I will close with thanks for your contribution to the poetic collective.

Best,

Invierno

"We exercise our foolish freedom." Ah, yes, I sure do find life seems to derail when I take control of the reigns. I daresay this dose of medicine didn't come to me by mistake today;)

Thanks for posting.

God's glory is superbly told here
God alone is the final authority
He may do anything to soothe us
The poet is indeed a noble soul.
