Just for Today, I'll forgive tomorrow, even though so far, all it offered me was sorrow. Just for Today, I'll forgive the earth, even though it doesn't care about life or death or my rebirth. Just for Today, I'll forgive my god, even though I was created to be this thoroughly flawed. Just for Today, I'll forgive this bruising pain, even though it wanted me to think myself insane. Just for Today, I'll forgive this skin I'm in, even though it plainly hates me for scarring it with sin. Just for Today, I'll forgive my lack of guilt, even though it was my way out of this maze that I built. Just for Today, I'll forgive all the wasted hope, even though it held me tangled, tied up in it's lovely rope. Just for Today, I'll forgive the desperate crave, even though it wants to ease me gently into an early grave. Just for Today, I'll forgive the need that wants desired, even though need wants desire to hide that need and want are liars. Just for Today, I'll forgive the puppet-master, even though that bastard laughed as my past sped fast into disaster. Just for Today, I'll forgive this damned disease, even though it wants my life spent weeping...on my knees.
