so very, very well
You thought they told you everything
but inside they have things they just can’t tell

It’s not because there are things
that they want to hide
It is because
they’re afraid to let out their emotions from inside

So many people struggling
but keep a straight face through it all
It could be a good friend
and you might not notice their sudden fall

It’s not always easy
to notice a person on the brink
Their life is crashing
in their world, all they do is think and think

So many problems
not knowing which way to turn
Not even feeling hungry
because all their stomach does is churn

You thought you knew someone
until you seen them fall
They were afraid to ask for help
hiding behind their self built wall

Now you try to help them
you want to help them get on their feet
You try to help them tear down that wall
and together, they’re problems you can defeat

Not everyone is so transparent
and help is something you won’t hear them say
Instead, they will only struggle
trying to survive each and every day
